MR. LAVENDER, 838 Lloyd St., Lady Lake, died Wednesday, June 10. He was a salesman for Motorola Inc.

Born in Nashville, Tenn., he moved to Central Florida in 1992. He was a member of Community United Methodist Church, Fruitland Park. He was a member of the Institute of Electricians and Electronics Engineers, ENTELEC and a former member of the Kiwanis. He was in the Naval Reserve during World War II.

Survivors: wife, Bertha P.; sons, John Scott III, Woodland Hills, Calif., David Keith, Helena, Mont.; daughter, Suzanne, Dallas; sister, Edna Ann Donothan, Shreveport, La.; two grandchildren.
