John Thomas Lee, 66, of Schlater died Thursday at Greenwood-Leflore Hospital of a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Williams and Lord Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. William Patten and the Rev. Doyle Cummins will officiate. Burial will be in McNutt Cemetery at Schlater.
Mr. Lee was a longtime employe of Leflore County Beat One and Beat Two. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Lela Cummins Lee of Schlater; one daughter, Mrs. Estelle Peacock of Schlater; one son, J. A. Lee of Denver, Colo.; three brothers, Ralph Lee of Owensboro, Ky.; James Lee of Dallas, and Bernard Lee of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and seven sisters, Mrs. Ed Counts of Greenwood, Mrs. Clyde Watson and Mrs. Randle Makamson, both of Itta Bena, Mrs. James E. Richardson of Greenville, Mrs. Hazel Alexander of Meridian, Mrs. William Carver of Carrollton and Mrs. Henry Mobley of St. Louis.
Pallbearers will be William A. Meeks, Sidney Peacock Jr., Joe A. Lee Jr., Bolton Watson, Mike Watson and Billy Ray.
Honorary pallbearers are Leflore county workers of Beat One and Dr. Fred Sandifer.
