HOLLANDALE -- John Wesley Wright, 73, of Hollandale died Wednesday morning at his home following an apparent heart attack.
Funeral services were to be at 3 p.m. today in the Hollandale Baptist Church with the Rev. Max R. Parker officiating. Burial was to follow in the Hollandale Cemetery. National Funeral Home of Greenville had charge.
Mr. Wright lived in Washington County for all of his life and was born in Percy. He was a retired farm owner and operator and a member of the Hollandale Baptist Church. He served in World War I and World War II and was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a Mason. He was married to the late Mrs. Lucille Kent Wright who died in 1962.
Survivors include, one son, Robert O. Wright of Hollandale; one daughter, Mrs. William Still Taylor of Como; two sisters, Mrs. Neita Neal of Greenville and Mrs. J. V. Lee of Hollandale and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers are to be Hamp Collier, Howard Grubbs, Walter Tolbert, Edward Shackleford, Thomas W. Hays and John W. Cope.
