John W. Finley Dies At Age 70

John William (Will) Finley, 70, resident of Route No. 5, Jackson died Wednesday at the Veterans Hospital after several days illness.

Mr. Finley was a native of Rankin County but had spent the greater part of his life in Hinds County.

He leaves his widow, Mrs. Annie Mae Luster Finley of Rt. No. 5 Jackson; three sons, James Almand Finley of Jackson, Will Allen Finley and Robert Douglas Finely [sic Finley] both of Los Angeles, California. One sister, Mrs. Mary Finley Luster of Jackson; one niece, Mrs. Ora Lynn Luster McBride of Merigold and two nephews, Rodney Finley Luster of Jackson and James Harold Luster of Memphis and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. from the Baldwin Chapel with his pastor, Rev. Lemuel H. Reynolds officiating, assisted by Rev. David H. McKeithen and Rev. John McBride. Interment will be in the Cedarlawn Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be W. L. Graves, Lonnie Dixon, J. W. Raney, Hubert Milligan, W. F. Lewis, L. J. MsBride [sic McBride]. Honorary pallbearers will be the Board of Stewarts, Bryram Methodist Church.
