J. W. Takewell, 79, died last night at his home in Bosco following a lingering illness.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Spencer officiating.
Interment followed in Carter Cemetery near Bastrop.
Mr. Takewell is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha Takewell of Bosco, one son, Mack Takewell and a daughter, Margie Takewell, both of Bosco and one brother, G. A. Takewell of Monroe.
Friends served as pallbearers.
