Johnnie Lea Davidson
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 14, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Shady Grove United Pentecostal Church in Jena, Louisiana for Johnnie Lea Davidson, age 74, of Attalla, Alabama. The ministers will be Dan Davis, C.D. Thornton and Curtis Thornton.
Johnnie was a life long member of Shady Grove United Pentecostal Church and for the past year was a member of Church on the Rock in Gasden, Alabama.
She was an exemplary Christian who inspired many others to a stronger faith in God.
She will be sorely missed by family and friends.
Johnnie Lea Davidson was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mollie Girlinghouse and her husband, Harvey Preston Davidson.
She is survived by her children, Preston (Angie) Davidson of West Monroe, Louisiana, Roland (Denise) Davidson of Walnut Grove, Alabama, Denise (James) Gulde of Belah, Louisiana and Stan (Cheryl) Davidson of Attalla, Alabama; grandchildren include Valerie (Chadd) Guitreau, Charlie (Taryn) Davidson, Bethany Davidson, Jamie Gulde, DeAnna (Michael) Thomas, Jodi Gulde, Suzie Austin and Tami Camp. She leaves one great-grandchild, Preston Lake Davidson and two step-great-grandchildren, Macy Cash and Toby Camp. She also leaves her sisters, Nita Mears, Wynonia Haymon and Carrie Joyce (Allen) Cripps. Her brothers are Gerald Girlinghouse and Lloyd (Debbie) Girlinghouse.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Daniels, Louis Epperson, Roger Huffman, Norris Dale Jackson, Cecil King, Oliver Murray, James Paul, Bud Sims and Dale Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Johnnie Wayne Bradford, Wesley Davidson, Carlos Hudnall, Paul Ingle, Greg Paul and Raymond Sharp.
The family will receive guests at Shady Grove United Pentecostal Church in Jena, Louisiana from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2007.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the church. Interment will be in the Nebo Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home, Jena.
