Billy Dampier, 82
WISNER - Billy Dampier, a retired employee of the Franklin Parish Media Center, died Thursday. Services are 10 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church of Wisner. Visitation is 5:30-8 p.m. today at the church. Burial will be in South Central Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home, Winnsboro.

Funeral service for Johnnie William ``Billy'' Dampier, age 82, of Wisner will be held at 10:00AM Monday, June 13, 2005 at First Baptist Church in Wisner with Rev. Don Blackmon and Rev. Thomas Peoples officiating. Interment will follow in the South Central Cemetery in Wisner under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mr. Dampier was born to the union of K.G. and Minnie Ola Blackmon Dampier on May 22, 1923 near Wisner and passed from this life Thursday, June 9, 2005 in New Hebron, MS.
He was a member of First Baptist Church Wisner was an iron worker for many years, and retired from the Franklin Parish Media Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, and first wife Marcilee Dampier.
Mr. Dampier is survived by his [wife] Marguerite Brooks Dampier of New Hebron, MS; two sons Dan Dampier of Shreveport and Bob Dampier of Brandon, MS; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bill Carroll, Mickey Carroll, Billy Cureington, Donnie Dampier, Phillip Dampier, and Russell Johnson.
Visitation will be at First Baptist Church Wisner on Sunday from 5:30-8:00 PM.
