Johnny Lee Walker
BAYTOWN -- Johnny Lee Walker, 44, of 2500 East James St. in Baytown, a former longtime Kemah resident, was killed Sunday morning in a one-vehicle crash near Kemah.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Jack H. Rowe Funeral Home in League City, the Rev. Martin Rucker officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park East Cemetery at League City.
Mr. Walker was born July 31, 1929, in Winnfield, La. He was an operating engineer for Houston Lighting and Power Co. in Cedar Bayou, and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 450 Union in Texas City. Mr. Walker was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Baytown.
He is survived by a son, Dennis walker of League City; a daughter, Mrs. Denise McDonald of Houston; his father, James J. Walker of Texas City; three brothers, Bobby Walker of Texas City, Marvin Walker of Galliano, La., and Bruce Walker of Oak Grove, La.; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Hammack of Texas City, Mrs. Lurline Gates of Sikes, La., and Mrs. Syble Edwards of Richmond; and two grandchildren.
