TAUNTON

Jonathon W. Taunton, age 65, a resident of Route 1, Freeport, died Tuesday night in a Pensacola hospital. He was a native of Freeport, and was a native of Freeport, and was a retired ships captain in the merchant marine. He was a member of Herman Lodge No. 108, F&AM.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lucille Taunton of Freeport; one son, Robert Earl Taunton of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. Zora Caswell of Freeport; one granddaughter.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Freeport United Methodist Church, with Rev. J. D. Renfroe, and Rev. Earl Temple officiating. Burial followed in the Hatcher Cemetery with full masonic rites conducted at the graveside.

Clary Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
