GOZA, JOSEPH LOGAN

A retired campus policeman with Southeastern Louisiana University and a resident of Tickfaw, he died Friday, July 18, 2003, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. He was 83 and a native of McCall Creek, Miss. He was a retired U.S. Army master sergeant, having served in World War II and the Korean conflict.

Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Visitation in the funeral home chapel from 8 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Billy Howe and the Rev. Fred Brumfield. Interment in New Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survived by his daughter, Cynthia Goza Rishton, Monroe; special friends, Archie and Candy Prine, Tickfaw; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Case Goza; infant son, Joseph Logan Goza Jr.; parents, Joseph H. and Mary Richmond Goza; a brother, Billy Goza; and a sister, Ora Nell Davis.
