Mallory Jenkins Rites To Be Held Thursday, 2:30 P.M.
Joseph Mallory Jenkins, 69, died in a Winnfield hospital early Wednesday after
a long illness. He was a retired salesman and at one time was manager of the
Winnfield Rock Quarry.
A native of Winn Parish, he was the son of the late James E. Jenkins and
Martha Peters Jenkins.
The body will be at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home until time for the funeral
services which will be conducted at the Laurel Heights Baptist Church at 2:30
p.m. Thursday, July 2, 1964. The Rev. C. C. Martin, pastor, will officiate,
and burial will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery under direction of Hixson
Brothers.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lottie Jordan Jenkins, Winnfield; five daughters,
Mrs. Ronnie McLean and Miss Janice Jenkins of Tucson, Arizona; Mrs. Stafford
Hines of Henderson, Texas; Mrs. Emmett Cox of Fayetteville, N. C.; and Miss
Martha Jenkins of Winnfield; one brother, G. W. Jenkins of Springhill, La.;
two sisters, Mrs. Earl Hughes and Mrs. F. A. deJean, both of Hodge; nine
grandchildren.
