Joseph M. Rushing

LAKE PROVIDENCE -- Funeral services for Joseph M. Rushing, 73, of Lake Providence, were at 10 a.m. today at Kidder-Cox Funeral Home.

The Rev. Lynn Campbell and Ricky Pittman officiated with burial at the Lake Providence Cemetery.

Mr. Rushing died Friday at Shady Lake Nursing Home in Lake Providence after a lengthy illness.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lottie Rushing of Oak Grove; five daughters, Mrs. Michael [sic Michel] Ferrara of Richmond, Calif., Mrs. L. J. Cutrera and, Mrs. Carol Vining [sic Vinning], both of Patterson, Mrs. Gary Burke [sic Burk] of San Antonio, Tex., Mrs. Richard Boudwell [sic Boutwell] of Oak Grove; one son, Jack Rushing of Seal Beach, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Jack Calhoun and Mrs. Polly Cook, both of Lake Providence and Mrs. Lela Upton of Las Vegas, Nev.; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
