Paul Turner Dies of Heart Attack Here Thursday

Paul Turner, 44, died from a heart attack at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Turner, on the Natchitoches highway at 12:20 noon today, Thursday. A resident of Tyler, Texas, Mr. Turner had been at his parents' home since Thanksgiving, having suffered a previous heart attack two months ago. His condition had seemed to be improved and his wife, Mrs. Laverne Emmons Turner, had returned last week to Tyler, where she is an instructor in a Tyler school.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete as this newspaper went to press, pending the arrival of Mrs. Turner. However it was said that services would be held in Winnfield, with burial in the Winnfield Cemetery. The remains are at the Hixson Funeral Home.

Mr. Turner was a salesman for a lumber supply company at Dallas. He graduated from the Winnfield High School in 1929 and later from Louisiana Tech. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tyler.

Surviving are his wife and daughter, Carol, of Tyler; parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Turner, Winnfield; and two brothers, Donald, of Winnfield, and Robert S. of Monroe.
