ROHNER, JOSEPH L. “UNCLE JOE”

A retired Florida Parishes Vocational Technical College instructor, he died at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7. 1996, at St. Helena Parish Hospital, Greensburg. He was 62, a resident of Greensburg, and native of Jack. He was a former St. Helena Parish police juror and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict.

Visiting at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, and 8 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Jack Nutter. Interment in Greensburg Cemetery, Greensburg; Survived by wife, Faith B. Rohner, Greensburg; four brothers, Glen Rohner, James Rohner and Elton Rohner, all of Greensburg, and Floyd Rohner, Clinton, Miss.; six sisters, Nelda Boyd, Greensburg, Mildred E. Sells, Farmington, N.M., Dorothy Pickering and Jeanette Hodges, both of Baton Rouge, Joanna Creason, Shreveport, and Betty DeCuir, New Orleans; 32 nephews and nieces; and 47 great-nephews and great-nieces.

Preceded in death by parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Rohner; and two brothers, Elzie and Clarence Rohner.

He was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church.
