Funeral Rites For Joseph R. Parker Held

Funeral services for Joseph R. Parker of Jonesboro were held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. J. W. Kennedy and Rev. W. J. Runnells officiating.

Burial was in Mineral Springs Cemetery near Sikes.

Mr. Parker died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 12, 1969 at his home.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mora Parker of Jonesboro; four sons, O. D. Parker of West Monroe, Sgt. Joseph D. Parker with the U. S. Air Force in Panama City, Fla., Willis L. Perry of Jonesboro and Sgt. Charles E. Perry with the U. S. Army in Vietnam; seven daughters, Mrs. Minnie Waldrop of Grayson, Mrs. Albert Whitman of Hodge, Mrs. Josie Campbell of Shreveport, Mrs. Billy Joe Ross of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Annette Emanus, Mrs. Frances Johnson and Miss Roxy Lou Parker, all of Jonesboro; 25 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
