Joseph “Joe” Davis, Jr.
Funeral services for Mr. Joseph “Joe” Davis, Jr. will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2005 in Elwood Baptist Church, Forest Hill with Reverend Jason Hoychick officiating. Burial will follow in the Butters Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mr. Davis, 60, of Forest Hill entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 02, 2005, in VA Medical Center, Pineville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Davis, Sr., and a nephew, James Duane Ruby, Jr.
He was a member of Elwood Baptist Church, Forest Hill, a native of Forest Hill, an U.S. Air Force Veteran serving in the Vietnam War; he was also a retired chef.
He is survived by his mother, Mable Lee Davis of Forest Hill, and one sister, Bettie Davis Ruby of Forest Hill.
Friends may call at Elwood Baptist Church, Forest Hill from 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2005 until 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2005 until time of service.
