Josephine Lee Richardson (Phenie) of Florence died October 10, 2012 at Hospice Ministries. Josephine was born November 6, 1910 in Simpson county Mississippi near Pinola to her parents Sarah and Estus Lee. She married James Mc Rae Richardson in 1933, it brings us comfort to know they are now reunited. Josephine is survived by her daughter Bobbie Mc Gehee of Florence, her grandson Tom McGehee and wife Lisa of Rowlett TX, Granddaughter Josie McGehee and husband Rusty of NY, NY and her great grand daughter Dana McGehee of Austin TX. Her namesake granddaughter was always one of Phenie's best friends.
The funeral service will be 10:00 Saturday morning Oct 13th at Ott - Lee Funeral Home on Hwy 49 in Richland Mississippi, with a visitation on Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Phenie loved her family, her Church family, animals, gardening, watching sports and working outside. Her amazing energy and resilient helpful spirit will be missed by all who know her. She ran Parkway Grocery in Jackson for many years with her husband and was a active member of her community and church. Josephine's shinning example of "bloom where you are planted" will continue to inspire her family and friends.
