Josie Lee LeNeave, 95, Formerly of Johnston
Mrs. Josie Lee LeNeave, 95, of Raleigh, a former resident of the Brogden community in Johnston County, died Thursday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
She was born in Sampson County on September 30, 1889, the daughter of the late Luther Powell Blackman Lee and Susan Jones Lee. She was a member of Athens Drive Baptist Church in Raleigh.
The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. The Rev. Lewis Wall will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Smithfield.
Surviving are two sons, Luther Hughes Johnson of Red Springs and Paul H. Johnson of New Orleans, La.; three daughters, Mrs. Edna Maddrey and Mrs. Margaret Jernigan of Raleigh and Mrs. Florence Daughtry of Route 2, Smithfield; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. today (Friday) at the funeral home.
