Bishop, Joy Saxon

SAVANNAH, GA. -- Joy Saxon Bishop died March 29, 2003. She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Louie Bishop; and son, Bruce Bishop.

Survivors include her children, Richard (Carlene) Bishop of Savannah, Ga., Barry (Mary Beth) Bishop of Cross Plains, Pamela Bishop of Knoxville, Peggy (Mark) Tidwell of Murfreesboro and Rebecca (James) Howarth; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; uncle, Hubert “Sixie” (Estelle) Hallman of Fort Valley, Ga.; aunt, Edna Page; and a host of friends, including dear friend of more than 60 years, Dean Clark.

A funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. today with the Rev. Samuel Watkins officiating. Interment will be in the Garden of The Last Supper in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Barry Bishop, C. Edward Fowlkes, Greg Cathey, Kim Willoughby, Mark Tidwell and James Howarth.
