MRS. HYMAN McCARTY DIES.

Shubuta, Miss., Sept. 18. -- Mrs. Hyman McCarty, 25 years of age, died here Sept. 14th at 11 p.m., after a short illness. She is survived by her husband, Hyman McCarty, and two children, one a boy of three years old and the other a girl two years old. Also two brothers, L. W. Anderson, Hereford, N. C., and John C. Anderson, Raleigh, N. C., and one sister, Miss Julia Helm, Houston, Miss.

The funeral services were held at the family residence by Rev. W. A. Terry, assisted by Rev. C. M. Morris. Rev. W. M. Williams, who was manager of the Methodist Orphanage in Jackson, Miss., while she was being reared there, was also present, but only took part as one of the family.

Mrs. McCarty was a large-hearted woman and very popular. The funeral was one of the most largely attended funerals in Shubuta and also one of the saddest, deceased being only 25 years of age and leaving a devoted husband and two small children.
