Juanita Jolly Williams

SHREVEPORT, LA -- Memorial services celebrating the life of Mrs. Juanita Biggs Jolly Williams will be held at Mangum Memorial United Methodist Church on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 11:00 am with Rev. Steve Caraway officiating. The burial service at Forest Park West Cemetery will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the memorial service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008 at Rose-Neath Southside.

Nita was born in Shreveport, LA on January 9, 1928.She passed away on August 31, 2008. She resided in Bellevue, LA and was a graduate of Haughton High School and Louisiana Tech University. She enjoyed life to the fullest by sharing her times with family and friends through traveling, golfing, camping, church activities, and following Louisiana Tech University athletic activities. Nita was a member of Mangum Memorial United Methodist Church, the Broadmoor Women's Golf Association, Shreveport Senior Women's Golf Association, Westwood Ladies Golf Association, Louisiana Forestry Association, and an active member of the NAAGQ (National Association of the Advancement of Grandstand Quarterbacks).

Nita was preceded in death by her first husband of 48 years, Edward Martin Jolly, her parents, Clyde and Marie Biggs, brother, Clyde Biggs, Jr., and grandson, Benjamin Wilson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her five daughters, Donna Wilson and husband, Bill of Tucson, AZ, Kaye Cochran and husband, Kenny of Mooringsport, LA, Celeste Reger and husband, Alan of Bossier City, LA, Lisa Liner and husband, Jack of Cumming, GA, and Jennifer Jolly from Aubrey, TX; eleven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, who lovingly called her "Nonnie". She is also survived by her husband of six years, John B. Williams and her cousin, Helen Malagarie, of Broussard, LA.

Honoring her, as pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the ICU staff at Willis-Knighton Pierremont Health Center, the Willis-Knighton Cancer Center, Dr. Eric Smith, Dr. Richard Kamm, Dr. Anil Veluvolu, and Dr. Sanford Katz for their love, care, and kindness.
