Funeral services for Mrs. Juanita June (Calhoun) Strange, age 59, of Columbia, LA, will be Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at 2:00 PM in the Columbia Chapel of Riser Funeral Home with the Rev's Larry Whatley, Chuck Stapleton and Boyd Tannehill officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery west of Columbia.

Mrs. Strange died Monday, April 12, 2004, at St. Francis Specialty Hospital in Monroe, LA. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents: H.M. and Jewel Calhoun; brothers: Sherwood Calhoun, Farris Calhoun, and Rushel Calhoun and her sisters: Florence Young and Shirley Archibald.

Survivors include her husband, James Strange, Columbia; sons: Herman Strange, Olla, LA, and Daniel Strange, Olla, LA; brother: Earl Calhoun, West Monroe, Buford Calhoun, West Monroe, Mack Calhoun, West Monroe, Calvin Calhoun, Dubach, LA, and Royce Calhoun, West Monroe; sisters: Marie Pilgrim, West Monroe, LA, Kathleen Brister, Monroe, Ollie V. Tietje, Roanoke, LA, and Virginia Campbell, Monroe, LA; four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the Funeral Home, 7131 Highway 165, Columbia, LA.
