Mrs. Judith Jenna Gates, age 71 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012.

Born Tuesday, May 28, 1940 in Winnfield, LA, she was preceded in death by her Father, Silas Creel, Mother, Lelwyn (Porter) Creel, Husband, Rev. William Gates, Grandson, Justin Boyett and Brother John F. Creel.

Those left to cherish her memory include Two Daughters, Becky Boyett and husband Alan of Winnfield, LA and Judy Cain and husband Donnie of Ruston, LA; One Son, William ``Bubba'' Gates, Jr. and wife Donna of Winnfield, LA; Two Brothers, Joe and Porter Creel of Winnfield, LA; Two Sisters, Sara Sanders of Winnfield, LA and Ruth Gard of Baytown TX; Six grandchildren, David Boyett, Brittany Edwards, Jacob and Elijah Cain; Brandon and Wesley Gates; and Seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 01, 2012, at Corinth Baptist Church, from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM, and again on Wednesday, May 02, 2012, at Corinth Baptist Church, from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 02, 2012 at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Tilton officiating and David Boyett delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Old Union Cemetery, in Joyce.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be, Aaron Townsend, Brandon Gates, Wesley Gates, Jacob Cain, Elijah Cain, Jamie Edwards, Alan Boyett (Hon.) and Mark Johns (Hon.).

The family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 and Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090.
