Judy E. Benge, 51, died Saturday, May 9, 1998.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia, with the Rev. Scott Greer, Paramount Terrace Christian Church, and Rick D. Mathis, minister of West Amarillo Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. today in Quanah Memorial Park Cemetery in Quanah.

Ms. Benge was born and raised in Quanah where she graduated from high school. She had been employed by Village Cadillac for many years. She was employed by Schooler-Gordon/BlackburnShaw Funeral Home from 1984 until 1996.

Ms. Benge joined Jim and Mary Schooler in 1996 and was instrumental in the construction and completion of Schooler Funeral Home where she was office manager. She was a hospice volunteer for Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center.

Survivors include two sons, Bart Benge of Dumas and Jason Benge of Mississippi; a brother, Johnny Akers of Quanah; her parents, Dorothy and Wayne Akers of Quanah; and two grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to the American Heart Association, 2404 W. Seventh, Amarillo, Texas, 79106.
