Services for Ernest Blaney will be at 2 PM, Monday, March 28, 2011 at Ouachita First Baptist Church, Enterprise, LA with Bro. James King officiating. Visitation will be from 5 PM until 9 PM on Sunday, March 27th at and from 10 AM until time of service Monday, March 28th at Ouachita First Baptist Church. Interment will be at Old Pine Hill Cemetery, Sicily Island, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.
Ernest Blaney, 66, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, March 26, 2011.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Blaney and Audrey Blaney Sumrall; step-father, Marion Sumrall; wife, Betty Wiley Blaney; brothers, Sidney Duane Blaney and Dewall S. Blaney.
He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Kay Blaney of Harrisonburg, LA and Terri Lynn Blaney of Jonesville, LA; son, Ernest Dewayne ``Bubba'' Blaney and wife Sherri of Jonesville, LA; sister, LaDonna Blaney Lindsey and husband Jimmy of Youngsville, LA; grandchildren, Candace B. Smith and husband Kevin, Christopher Byrnes, Derrick Blaney, Dewey Blaney, Mariah Jones and ex-wife, Marie Blaney Ford.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Blaney, Larry Cotten, Ronnie Blaney, Boo Blaney, Kippy Blaney and Jimmy Blaney. Honorary pallbearers will be Ouachita Fertilizer Employees, Donnie Parks, Barry Ford, Jackie Morris, Johnny Ray McLendon and Russell Delaney.
