Julia Anders Weatherall
Julia Anders Weatherall, 98, of Little Rock, died Sunday, May 27, 2007. She was born on January 23, 1909, in Hermitage, Arkansas, to the late M. J. and Flora Corinne Anders. She was predeceased by her husband, Ray Weatherall; her brother, John Anders; and two sisters, Elizabeth Elliott and Marion Bracy. She is survived by one daughter, Corinne Gilbreath, and two sisters, Frances Spratlin and Virginia Effland of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Her forty-year career as a public school music teacher included positions in Gould, Eudora and McGehee. She always found time for teaching private piano students and was involved in church music, serving as church pianist at the First Baptist Church in McGehee for 35 years. In 1987 she moved to Parkway Village.
Julia had been a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, the DAR and the Musical Coterie, and she was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 31, 2007, in the Chapel at Parkway Village, with Roller-Chenal Funeral Home (501)224-8300 assisting.
Memorials may be made to the Julia Anders Weatherall Music Scholarship Fund at Ouachita Baptist University, Arkadelphia, Arkansas 71923, or to a favorite charity.
