BOSSIER CITY, LA. - Services for Mrs. Julia H. McGinty, 85, of Bossier City, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday July 2 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel. The Rev. James Adams, pastor of First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. McGinty, born in Caldwell, N.J. and a resident of Shreveport and Bossier City for the past 60 years, died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 1983, in Bossier City after a lengthy illness. She was a member of Westminister Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two sons, E. Robert McGinty of Dallas, Texas and Al R. McGinty of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Alice Heskett of Bossier City; two sisters, Bertha LaCharite and Isabel MacLean, and five brothers, Alfred, William, George, Ted and Rob Ellis, all of New Jersey; nine grandchildren, Fred Green of Washington, D.C., Larry Green and Robin Green, of Bossier City, Don McGinty, Julie Hathorn, Susan Parker and Linda Masden, of Houston, Texas, Tim McGinty of Austin, Texas and Marilyn Vermillion of Oklahoma City, Okla.; nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Larry Green, Robin Green, Donnie McGinty, Tim McGinty, Doug Hathorn and Tony Masden.
