WOMAN, RESIDENT OF STATE NEARLY 50 YEARS, DIES

Mrs. Julia Lane, Who Came Here In 1871, Passes Away After Lingering Illness.

Mrs. Julia F. Lane, a resident of Kansas since 1871, died at her home, four miles southeast of Goddard, in Sedgwick County, Tuesday morning, after a lingering illness. Mrs. Lane removed to Kansas from Nodaway county, Missouri 48 years ago.

The deceased is survived by her husband, Arthur Lane: one daughter, Mrs. Zetta Angel of South Bend, Ind., and one son, William Markwell of Wichita.

Funeeral [sic Funeral] services will be held at the home Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery of Wichita. The Wichita Undertaking company has charge.
