MRS. JULIA ROGERS CHARRIER

On Thursday, July 7, 2005, Mrs. Julia Rogers Charrier, age 82, went home to be with the Lord.
Julia was born on May 17, 1923 in Smackover, Arkansas. During high school she was a skilled basketball player and avid fan. After graduation, she attended St. Francis Nursing College.
Julia was a very dedicated Christian, as a member of Liberty Baptist Church and later Calhoun First Baptist. She taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and established a prayer group.
Julia was a loving wife, a caring mother and a friend to all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Rogers and Ida Belluci Rogers; sister, Anniece Rutledge and her husband of fifty-two years, A.J. Charrier.
Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl and Burl Stewart of Swartz, LA; Peggy and Danny Gross and Judy and Paul Crocker, both of Calhoun, LA; son, Reverend Ronald and Eula Charrier of Crowville, LA; sister, Patsy Jarvis; two brothers, Luther "Boots" Rogers and Elliot Pete Rogers; grandchildren: Holly Charrier of Crowville, LA; Andy and Shelley Stewart of Swartz, LA; Joshua Crocker, Dustin Gross, Brittany Crocker, and Nichole Gross, all of Calhoun, LA; great grandchildren, Caleb Thomas, Bethany Thomas of Crowville, LA; Kash Stewart and Shaye Stewart of Swartz, LA; and Cambell Charrier of Italy; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2005, at 2:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel West Monroe with Rev. Ronnie Charrier officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and Richard Benton.
Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until service time at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Julia Charrier Prayer Room at Calhoun First Baptist Church.
