Julie Craig
Julie Kay Craig, 53, of Mason City, died Saturday (January 14, 2012) at her home in Mason City.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday afternoon (January 21, 2012) from 1 p.m. until 3p.m. at the V.F.W., 1603 S. Monroe Ave., Mason City.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be left in Julie's name in care of her husband, Randy Craig, 715 15th St. S.E., Mason City, Iowa, 50401.
Julie Kay was born on January 30, 1958 in Waverly, Iowa, the daughter of Bob and Wilma (Davis) Jurgens. She was raised in the Shell Rock Valley area. On November 7, 1977 Julie was united in marriage to Randy Craig, they would later divorce before reconnecting and remarrying on February 17, 2006.
For many years Julie worked as a nurse's aide and then later as a church secretary, currently she was employed by KMART in Mason City.
Julie enjoyed crocheting and crocheted many baby blankets for her nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews over the years. She also loved cats, penguins, and tigers, spending time on Facebook, listening to her Jackson Brown cd's and yellow roses; Julie adored her two dogs, CeeCee and Ryder.
Family was most important in Julie's life. She loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own and was very proud of each of them. Julie had a strong faith; she was a proud member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Mason City.
Those grateful in sharing in Julie's life are her husband, Randy; her mother-in-law, Donna Eggena and her significant other Daryl Kluender; her sister, Karla Cuvelier; her sisters-in-law, Barb (Lenny) Peters and Penny (Rick) Jindra; her brother-in-law, Michael (Deena) Craig; and her many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Julie is preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law, Fred Eggena.
