Julius Crawford
(March 16, 1938 - January 5, 2009)

Mr. Julius Crawford, age 70, of Winnfield, La., passed away Monday, January 5, 2009, at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Winnfield. Mr. Crawford was also one of the founders of United Baptist Church where he served as song leader for many years. He served on the Winn Parish Police Jury and was the owner of Crawford Tie and Lumber.

Mr. Crawford was the son of the late Gus Crawford and the late Nola Jordan Crawford.

He is survived by his wife Sue (Roberts) Crawford of Winnfield, La.;

One Daughter, Julia Thomas and husband Randy of Winnfield, La.

Two granddaughters, Mandy Martin and husband Paul of Winnfield, La. Casey Box and husband Rusty of Dodson, La.

Two great-grandchildren, Bailor Brown and Bryce Martin

Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, La., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Wednesday, January 7, 2009 and from 9:00 AM to service time Thursday, January 8, 2009. Funeral services will be held at Southern Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Thursday, with Rev. John Holland and Rev. Stephen Laughlin officiating. Interment will be at Garden Of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield, La.

Philip Wilkerson, Jim Anyon, John Thomas, Crosby Adams, Paul Martin and Rusty Box will serve as pallbearers. Kingdom Builders Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
