Mrs. June Grisham Lewis McHenry, a member of one of Monroe's most prominent families, died on December 26, 2010. She was born on February 11, 1929 in Monroe to her late parents, Marion Grisham and Oscar R. Lewis. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years. Dr. Armand G. McHenry, Jr., who just recently passed, and her eldest son, Martin Armand McHenry.

A graduate of L.S.U., Mrs. McHenry also attended Mary Baldwin College in Virginia, and was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. Mrs. McHenry was active in many of Monroe's civic and cultural activities. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and the Daughter's of the King Altar Guild. She was an Honorary Trustee of the Masur Museum, past board member of the Twin City Arts Foundation, Monroe Garden Club, Junior League, The Monroe Committee of the National Society of Colonial Dames of America, The First Families of Mississippi and Dames of the Magna Carter.

Mrs. McHenry is survived by her son, Richard Lewis McHenry and daughter-in-law, Victoria Knight McHenry of New Orleans; her daughter, Marion Zentner and her son-in-law, Thomas G. Zentner, Jr. of Monroe; and her five grandchildren: Thomas Glenn Zentner, III, and his wife, Michelle Haun Zentner of Houston, TX; Martin McHenry Zentner of New Orleans; Courtney Tindall Zentner of Monroe; Victoria Knox McHenry of New Orleans; and Marion Emerson McHenry of New Orleans. She is also survived by her brother, Orin Grisham Lewis of Hunt, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at 1:00 PM. Visitation at Kilbourne Hall, Grace Episcopal Church, beginning at 12:00 noon.
