Burrows Funeral Slated Saturday
CARROLLTON -- Funeral services for J. G. Burrows, Carrollton
High School principal, will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the
Carrollton Baptist Church with the Rev. O. M. Fox officiating.
Burial will be in the Carrollton Cemetery with Stabler of Aliceville in charge.
Mr. Burrows died yesterday at the South Pickens Hospital at
Aliceville following a short illness. A native of Stamping Ground, Ky.,
he had been in education work in Pickens County for 23 years. He
had served as principal of Carrollton High the last 16 years.
Survivors include his wife, the former Louise Blake of West Blocton;
a sister, Mrs. Leo Wilson of Lexington, Ky.; three brothers, and
his father of Stamping Ground, Ky.
