Karl Stovall

Funeral rites for Karl Edwin Stovall, 55, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel.

Rev. Glenn Eckols officiated. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport.

Stovall died in Veterans Hospital in Shreveport last Thursday.

He was born in Winn Parish, La. Mr. Stovall had owned and operated Stovall's Inc. on the [shor]es of Lake Murvaud for a number of years. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Karline Whitaker of Carthage and Mrs. Gayle Newman of Bossier City; three brothers, D. M. Stovall of Carthage, John Stovall of Idabel, Okla. and James Stovall of Metarie, La.; five sisters, Velda Prince of Carthage, Maurine McCarty, Sarah Fouts, Evelyn Finuf, and Carlotta Furgerson, all of Shreveport; and two grandchildren.
