Helen Kathleen Mason was born on June 10, 1931 to Lizzy Pearl and Henry Clifton Mason. She lived and worked on her family's farm in the Tinnin community. She attended the Tinnin schoolhouse and then went on to graduate from Clinton High School in 1949. Kathleen worked for Western Auto in Old Towne Clinton for many years. Following Bill's death in 1987, Kathleen married John Beasley in 1990. They continued to live on the Mason family land, and were both devoted to her children and 10 grandchildren. Kathleen was an active member of Pocahontas Baptist Church 25 years, where she served as Church Clerk for 18 years and taught Sunday school. Kathleen was an excellent seamstress, an avid gardener, loved her chickens, and will be remembered by her family as the best Southern cook that ever lived. She poured out her life in love and service to her family, friends, church, and community. Kathleen was a truly beautiful, hard-working, and strong Southern, Christian lady.
