Mrs. Kathryn Emmons Norfleet

BENTON, LA -- Funeral services for Mrs. Kathryn Emmons Norfleet, 83, will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, July 8, 1999 at Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Larry Lyles, pastor of Christview Christian Church. Burial will follow in Rose-Neath Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 7, 1999 from 5 p.m. til 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Norfleet passed away on Monday, July 5, 1999 at Schumpert Medical Center. She born in was Vivian, LA former resident of Shreveport, LA and a resident of Benton, LA. Mrs. Norfleet was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her great grandsons brought her so much joy in her last days. She loved her family, church and they meant so much to her. Her concern was always for others, Her smiling face and her love will be greatly missed by all who know her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John U. Norfleet; parents, Jessie and Jack Emmons; and a brother, James J. Emmons, Jr.

Mrs. Norfleet is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Caskey and husband, James of Benton, LA; one sister, Virginia E. Mosley and husband, James of Shreveport, LA; one brother, William C. Emmons and wife Mary of Vivian, LA; two grandchildren, Carmel Caskey and Michelle C. Singleton and husband, Richard; two great-grandchildren, James Dell and Stephen Singleton; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David Swicegood, Tommy Hardaway, Ray Evans, Anthony Alexander, Jim Bowles and John Daye.

Special thanks to Dr. Alan Grosbach and staff, nurses and staff on Hematology Oncology Unit at Schumpert Medical Center, Bossier Parish Sheriff Department, Bossier EMS Unit and Benton Fire Department.
