JONES, KEITH E. SR.

Died at 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. Luke's Hospital, Houston, Tex. He was 79, native of Winnfield and resident of 1371 Stephens Ave., Baton Rouge. He was retired from State Department of Liquified Petroleum Gas Commission as director. He was an Army veteran of World War I.

Body at Welsh Funeral Home with visiting from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday and after 8 a.m. Monday. Religious services from the funeral home parlor at 10 a.m. Monday. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Survived by a son, Keith E. Jones Jr., Baton Rouge; three sisters, Mrs. Mable Bates Moise, Baton Rouge, Mrs. A. F. Sasser and Mrs. Hilton Gregg, both of San Antonio, Tex.; a brother, Reginald Jones, Baton Rouge; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Eastland Bible Class.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Gully Jones, Baton Rouge.
