Kenneth Darrel Winter
June 1942 -- February 2010

Ken Winter, 67, died tragically on Tuesday. He was born in Porterville and lived most of his life in and around the Turlock area.

Ken was a 1960 graduate of Orestimba High School. Through his life he built a reputation as a master fabricator of sheet metal for Thorsens. In addition, he could build or fix almost anything you needed. Ken loved fishing, he loved his guitar and Blue Grass music, he loved dune buggies and motorcycles, he loved to read, but most of all Ken loved his family. Ken and his wife of 23 years, Berniece, loved to get on his motorcycle and ride across the country. They built many happy memories together. He was a member of the Road Runners' Motorcycle Club.

Ken is survived by his wife, Berniece; children, Linette (Loren) Veldhuizen of Stevinsen, Jeniffer (Tony Lawrence) Winter of Ceres and Eric Winter of Turlock, Rick (Tami) Agresti of Ceres and Ron (Ruth) Agresti of Oregon; sister, Janice Knudson of San Dimas; grandchildren, Heather (Aaron) McClosky, Michael Veldhuizen, Casey (Ashley) Veldhuizen, Craig (Katie Perryman) Utz, Shawn Powers, Aaron Powers, Erica Winter, Kristen Winter,

Conner McClosky, Cameron McClosky, Kaylee McClosky, Jillian, Tiffani, Jason, and Clinton Agresti, Kristina (Darrell) Espindula and Heidi (Dominic) Dominguez; and great grandchildren, Chase Utz, Darren and Allisen Espindula, and Austin Demaline. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Emmit and Helen Winter; and Randy Agresti, a step-son who passed away in 2003.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Ken's honor at 3 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 8 at Allen Mortuary.
