King Telano Sr.

Funeral services for King Telano Sr., 71, of 116 Austin St., Monroe, were at 2 p.m. today at the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.

The Rev. Charlie Sutton officiated with burial at Hall Cemetery near Monroe.

Mr. Telano died early Thursday at St. Francis Hospital after a lengthy illness.

A native of Monroe, Mr. Telano was a World War II veteran, a member of the Baptist Church, and a retired employee of the Ouachita Parish Highway Dept.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nellie Telano; one son, King Telano, Jr.; one stepson, J. V. Moore, all of Monroe; one brother, Casey Lee Telano, of Huttig, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs. Julia Meeks and Mrs. Emmie Caldwell, both of Monroe, and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Cleo Moore, Roy Eppinette, Carson Ellis, Carl Wayne Telano, Hardy Wells, and Pat Young.
