L.B. Hemperley

WINNFIELD -- Services for L.B. Hemperley, 80, of Winnfield will be at 3 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Grayson Watson and J.P. Miles officiating.

Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Dodson, under direction of Southern.

Hemperley died at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday in Humana Hospital-Winn Parish.

He was a native of Erie, Ark., an area supervisor for Louisiana Power and Light Co. for 25 years and a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel P. Hemperley of Winnfield; one son, Chester Hemperley of Winnfield; one daughter Marilyn Hughes of Winnfield; three brothers, A.D. Hemperley of Shreveport, E.C. Hemperley and Mercer E. Hemperley, both of Leesville; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Rowzel of Leesville and Rene Cholarie of New Orleans; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
