Lamar Duane Griffing, 49, died Sunday, April 2, 2006 at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl and 11 a.m. Wednesday until services. Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with interment in Lakewood South in Jackson.
Mr. Griffing was a retired cosmetologist, having worked in the greater Jackson area. He is preceded in death by parents: Shane Griffing and Robbie Garrett, and grandparents, Oscar Monroe and Mary Angeline Griffing and Irene and Scrap Garrett.
Survivors are son: Scottie Joe Craft of Claiborne County; brothers: Morris B. Griffing, Sr. of Mendenhall, Bobby Monroe Griffing of Brandon, and Dennis Lavell Griffing of Rankin County; sisters: Sharon Ann Sandifer of Pearl, Eva Sawin of Pearl, Mary Ann Barrett of Jackson, Mary Jo Haley of Pearl and Candy Teasley of Pearl; extended family: Glenda & Travis Leach of Canton and Brenda Johnston of Byram.
