Lane W. Spivey

Lane W. Spivey, 63, of 1238 Seventh, died last night in a Sherman hospital. Death reportedly resulted from a heart attack.

Spivey, and employee in the plant protection department at Sinclair Refining Co. since about 1943, was returning from a family reunion at Lawton, Okla. He was scheduled to stop in Temple, where he recently underwent surgery.

A native of Burke, Texas, Spivey had worked for the Navy about three years before joining Sinclair. Prior to that he had worked with the U.S. Census Bureau in Willacy County and had been in the contracting business at Raymondville.

Funeral arrangements could not be learned immediately today. The body was at the Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman today.

Spivey is survived by a sister, Alma Spivey of Raymondville.
