Lanell G. Scoggin
Lanell G. Scoggin of San Marcos, Texas, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away on September 3, 2013, at the age of 83. She was born on September 15, 1929 in Big Wells, Texas, to Eugene Tonley and Lillian Petronel (Hopson) Grisham.
Lanell married James (Jimmy) Scoggin in Carrizo Springs, Texas on July 23, 1950. He passed away in 2004. After many years, she retired from the LCRA where she worked as an Administrative Assistant.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Ann Scoggin and husband, Joe Lucio; son, James Michael Scoggin of Martindale; sister, Joann Grisham Baker and husband, Giles of Pasadena, Texas; grandchildren, Cassie Polasek-Pope and husband, Forrest Pope; Amber Scoggin; and Bill and Christy Ballinger of San Antonio; great-grandchildren, Mason and Ella Pope, and Madeline and Raef Ballinger. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 5, 2013, at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale, Texas, with the Rev. Ron Hicks officiating.
