Laniel J. LaMartiniere

MONROE - Services for Laniel J. LaMartiniere were held on Monday, July 24, 2006 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Rev. Kenny Eubanks officiating. Interment followed in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Born in November 16, 1925, he was baptized in the Catholic Church in Fifth Ward. After high school he began a land surveying career. In 1943 he served in the US Army Air Corp as a radio operator. After the war he attended LSU in Baton Rouge; he worked for different companies around the state on different projects such as Proctor and Gamble, Cleco Power Plant, Pollock Fertilizer Plant, St. Frances Cabrini Hospital and many others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Julienne LaMartiniere.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Howard LaMartiniere; sons Bradley LaMartiniere of Monroe, Gary LaMartiniere of Monroe, Scottie LaMartiniere of Leesville, David LaMartiniere of Echo, Floyd LaMartiniere of Baton Rouge and Laniel LaMartiniere, Jr. of St. Augustine, Florida; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
