Laroy Allen

HENDERSON -- Graveside services for Laroy Allen, 71, of Norman, Okla., formerly of Laneville, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Laneville Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Wood officiating under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home of Henderson.

He died Sunday in a Norman hospital after a brief illness.

Born Nov. 15, 1921, in Sweetgum community, he had lived in Cushing and Norman for the past 40 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Norman.

He worked for Texas Pipeline Co., a division of Texaco. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jean, who died in 1986.

Survivors include his wife, Hattie; stepmother, Clotille “Coty” of Henderson; daughters, Kay and Janet Garcia, both of Houston; stepdaughters, Cathy Little, Debbie Smith, both of Norman, and Glenda Steves of Edmond, Okla.; a son, David of Brownsburg, Ind.; and two grandsons, Travis and Seth, both of Brownsburg.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m today at the funeral home.
