Larry Dunn
Lovington, NM, formerly of San Lorenzo and Oakland
Survived by father Stephen A. Dunn of Lovington NM and Mother Evadna (Suzie) Dunn of Brentwood CA, Sister Vicki Baxley Fox of Lovington NM, Niece Lena Baxley-Hulbert of Killeen TX, Nephew Nick Baxley of Cedar Rapid Iowa and Niece Brooke Baxley of Brentwood CA and his loving Dogs.
Larry Attended Del Rey School and Arroyo High in San Lorenzo. He spent a lot of his childhood years in Shriners hospital for crippled Children in San Francisco. He spent a great deal of summer time with his family at Pinecrest, Ca and Strawberry Lake. Larry loved to fish. He fished as much as possible and his love for fishing was so great that he brought home buckets of live cat fish and planted them in the small lake (aka duck pond) in San Lorenzo so children in the neighborhood and his nephew and nieces could catch fish close to home. His Nephew Nick often fished there and was sure with every catch that uncle Larry had put that fish there.
Larry was a great example for his family as he never said anything bad about anyone. When his niece Lena was about 5 years old she painted his black dog with white paint to make him look “pretty” and of course Larry kept his cool when he found out and remembered back to when he was a kid he and a friend painted the side of the neighbors house.
The family is so glad that we were able to spend the last 62 ½ years with Larry and will miss him dearly.
