Larry Emmons

Funeral services for Larry Emmons, 69, of 923 Emmons St., Kilgore, father of Larry Gene Emmons of Longview, will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at Rader Chapel in Kilgore. The Rev. Ralph Leatherwood will officiate at the services and interment will take place in Kilgore Cemetery.

Emmons, a retired Gulf Oil Company employe, died early Saturday morning at Roy H. Laird Memorial Hospital in Kilgore. He had been a Kilgore resident since 1931 when he moved here from Smackover, Ark., during the oil boom.

Also surviving are his wife, two other sons, J. C. Addie of New Iberia, La., and Corbie Addie of Kilgore; one daughter, Mrs. R. J. Richardson of Monahans; two brothers, Dewey Emmons of Shrev[e]port and Clarence Emmons of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Dickerson of Smackover, Mrs. Jewel Cooper and Mrs. Nina Martor [sic Marter], both of Shr[e]veport, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildr[e]n.
