63 years of age, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 2, 2011.
Larry was born in Indiana, son of Lowell and Marjorie Hampton Tegarden, brother of Myra and David Tegarden (all deceased).
Larry served in the US Air Force, earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees from San Jose State University, owned a cabinet shop for several years, then worked as an Engineer at Westinghouse/ Northrop Grumman/ Xontech. Woodworking, including tools and machines, remained a lifelong passion.
Larry is survived by wife of 44 years, Sharon Price Tegarden, sons Timothy (Yukiko), Jeffery, and Douglas. His favorite role in life was grandfather to Christy, Howard, David, and Kai.
Service will be held Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 2:00pm, Alta Mesa Memorial Park Cemetary, 695 Arastradero Road, Palo Alto, CA, 94306. Arrangements by Spangler Mortuaries.
