McCarty Rites

HONEY GROVE -- Services for Mrs. Laura E. McCarty, 81, of Windom, who died early Wednesday at the Page Nursing Home here, will be conducted Friday at 3 p.m. at First Christian Church at Windom, where she was a member. The pastor, the Rev. Paul Campbell of Bonham, will officiate, burial in Oakwood Cemetery here to be made by Robert West Funeral Home.

Daughter of the late Silas D. and Mary Elizabeth (McClellan) Wright, Mrs. McCarty was born at Windom, July 5, 1878.

Surviving are several nieces and newphews [sic nephews] including Neel Whitley here, and these children of her late husband, Carl Clay McCarty, whom she helped rear: Carl Edward McCarty, Lubbock; James J. McCarty, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. J. B. Riley and Mrs. Sulla Olszewski, both of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Floyd Thompson, Plainview.
