HENDERSON -- At the family residence, Glenmora, La., Friday, Sept. 13, 1940, at 5:45 p.m., Mrs. Laura J. Henderson, 79, lifelong resident of Rapides parish. The decreased [sic deceased] has been a resident of Glenmora for 20 years. She was the widow of the late J. W. Henderson.

Survivors are: Three sons W. T. Henderson of Diamond Springs, Colo., H. S. Henderson of Shreveport, and Clarence Henderson of Glenmora; two daughters, Mrs. R. C. Bond of Oakdale and Mrs. J. G. Shaw of Longview, Texas; one brother, J. D. Dunn of Forest Hill; one sister, Mrs. George Odom. There are also 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, in the Glenmora Baptist church with Rev. Jack Devore, pastor, officiating. Interment was made in the Glenmora cemetery under the direction of Hargrove Brothers Funeral Home of Oakdale.
